A little about me
I’m Erin…
I was born and raised in the Bay Area, California. I have been doing hair and makeup professionally for well over a decade. I received my Cosmetology License in 2006 and have been working as an independent hair stylist and makeup artist for all occasions. I started out doing house calls for clients all over Northern California. It was a great way for the whole family to get their hair cut and colored, allowing parents to continue their lives after work and not having to worry about a sitter for the kids or getting off work early. They could come home and have a glass of wine while I freshened up their do.
I fell in love being a hair and makeup artist for special events and runway, combining my passion for the fashion industry and being able to work with really amazing women over the years. I actually started as a hair stylist to help launch a career in fashion design and production. It helped me become a well rounded one stop shop for creative needs. I have worked with clothing companies, charities, performers and brides to bring to life their vision.
My Style….
My personal style is molded on my northern California roots. Beach babe ready for a day of adventure in my high wasted skinnies, tee and sweater. My makeup style changes depending on the client, but always with a soft hand, not caked on, with a vintage boho vibe. Hair is where I love to get a little wild. Intricate braids and waves from punk rock to glamorously elegant.
My Fashion Life…
Fashion Portfolio
I graduated from FIDM in 2011 with a degree in Fashion Design. I have worked with every type of fashion company including my own contracting business. As a contractor I have created wedding and flower girl dresses in every style, costumes for Halloween for all ages and performance art pieces for dancers, acrobats and singers. Collaborating with various Bay Area companies opened my world up into making Burning Man festival wear, working with artists like the Grateful Dead and independent artists bringing their art to life through clothing. I worked with Jake Wall and Blake Patterson from season 14 of Project Runway to create custom Bespoke pieces for men and women. I have also worked in fast fashion, leading monthly production teams and designing for everyday women for stores like Kohl’s, Macy’s and J.C. Penny.
